I.What does Bless This App do?
Bless This App is a free macOS application that does two things. First, it generates every required app icon size for iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS from a single 1024×1024 source image — including the macOS squircle mask and 80.08% inset, exported as a real Xcode-ready AppIcon.iconset. Second, it generates App Store screenshots using AI models on Replicate (Nano Banana Pro by Google or Flux 2 Pro by Black Forest Labs) from a single text prompt and optional reference image.
II.Is Bless This App free?
Yes. The Icon Baker is completely free with no limits, no watermarks, and no account. The Screenshot Studio is bring-your-own-key — you supply your own Replicate API key and pay Replicate directly for image generation (typically a few cents per screenshot). We do not charge a subscription and we do not sell a paid tier.
III.What operating systems does Bless This App run on?
Bless This App runs on macOS 14 (Sonoma) and newer, on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. The app is approximately 12 MB and ships as a signed .app bundle.
IV.Which Apple platforms does the icon generator support?
All of them. iOS (11 icon sizes including App Store, iPhone, iPad, Spotlight, Settings, and Notifications), macOS (10 sizes from 16×16 through 1024×1024 with the proper @2x variants and a real AppIcon.iconset folder), watchOS (10 sizes), tvOS (3 sizes for App Store and Home Screen), and visionOS (4 sizes). Each platform is exported into its own correctly-named folder ready to drag into Xcode.
V.What input image should I provide?
A 1024×1024 PNG works best. The app will accept any square image and resize it intelligently, but starting with 1024×1024 means every downscale comes from a high-quality source. PNG with transparency is fine — the app applies the macOS squircle mask automatically when exporting macOS icons.
VI.Does the AI screenshot generator work with my own designs?
Yes. You can drop in reference screenshots from your actual app and write a prompt describing the marketing frame you want around them. The model uses your reference as a guide, then composes a polished App Store-ready 9:16 portrait image at 2K resolution, exported as PNG.
VII.Which AI models can I use for screenshots?
Two models are supported on Replicate: Nano Banana Pro by Google (best for advanced editing, accurate text rendering, and complex layouts) and Flux 2 Pro by Black Forest Labs (fast, high quality, great for stylized marketing imagery). You choose per-screenshot.
VIII.Does Bless This App send my icons or screenshots to a server?
No. Icon generation runs entirely on your Mac — your source images never leave your machine. For AI screenshots, your prompts and reference images go directly from your Mac to Replicate using your own API key. We do not run a backend, we do not have your data, and we do not have your Replicate key.
IX.How is Bless This App different from Image2icon, Bakery, or IconKit?
Bless This App is free with no paid tier. It exports a real Xcode-compatible AppIcon.iconset folder so you can drag it straight into your project. It includes a built-in AI screenshot generator — no other icon tool offers that. And it handles all current Apple platforms including visionOS, which most older icon utilities have not been updated for.
X.Do I need an Apple Developer account to use Bless This App?
No. You can generate icons and screenshots without an Apple Developer account. You only need one when you actually submit your app to the App Store.
XI.Can I use the generated screenshots for App Store Connect submission?
Yes. Screenshots export at 9:16 portrait in PNG format at 2K resolution, which matches App Store Connect requirements for iPhone screenshots. For iPad-specific aspect ratios, generate at the matching resolution.
XII.Where do I download Bless This App?
Bless This App is distributed as a signed .app bundle. Download the latest release from the project page. There is no App Store version — keeping it off the App Store lets us keep it free without dealing with the review process for utility apps.
